(Letter from Maj. Ed Pulido to the Supporters and Riders of the Salt Lake City Patriot Ride)
Dear John and Fellow Patriots,
Thank you!
Your patriotism and generosity in support of the VFN Foundation and Folds of Honor Foundation Patriot Ride deserve nothing less than our sincerest gratitude. I am humbled and inspired to stand beside you in giving back to the military service members and families who have sacrificed so much to all of us. Simply put, our mission at the VFN Foundationand Folds of Honor Foundation will not succeed without the remarkable efforts of individuals like you.
Together with the PGA of America, the USGA, Lifelock and American Express these two deserving charitieshad another successful Patriot's Day in 2010. The Patriot Ride in Salt Lake City has shown us all the true colors of this magnificent country. Countless stories of creativity and enthusiasm paint a wonderful picture of citizens like you who truly appreciate the life we have in America.
On behalf of the Folds of Honor and VFN Board of Directors, staff, and many volunteers, thank you for being a Patriot! And thank you for being our wingman on this vital mission. Honoring their Sacrifice, Educating their Legacy! We will not leave anyone behind in the field of battle.
Godspeed,
Major Ed "Rock” Pulido |
HELPING THOSE IN NEED
|
We recently received a call from Operation Homefront requesting additional help for a nineteen year old private stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. The soldier's thirty-seven day old baby had passed away. The soldier did not have the means to pay for the funeral. The Veteran Family Network without hesitation, hand delivered a check to pay for the expenses the next day. |

BLUE STAR MOTHERS
|
|
VFN Foundation, I wish to express my gratitude and thankfulness for the compassion you shared during our EXODUS event December 2009. Your donation to our Military Welcome Center at the Will Rogers World Airport allowed us to provide food, beverages & supplies for the event. Your additional gifts to the Drill Sergeants was a blessing as well. This gave each of them the privilege to enjoy the little extra pleasures while away from their families for the 4 day event. Thank you again for your generous & kind donation. You have made a difference. God Bless our Veterans & all our American Soldiers.

SUPPORTING LOCAL VETERANS
I would like to thank the VFN Foundation for buying propane so that I could have heat through the winter. Being a Vietnam Veteran, retired on a fixed income and going through a very hard time, I appreciate how you love and support all of us veterans. Thank you again.

LIMBS FOR LIFE
Thank you for your generous contribution to the Limbs for Life Foundation. Your donation will greatly benefit the lives of several of our amputees. Thank you for partnering with our organization as we seek to provide comfortable and fully-functional prosthetic care for individuals who cannot otherwise afford it.
Thanks again for your generosity.

VFW POST 385
Thank you for your generous donation to aid us in rebuilding our post after the tornado did over $300,000 worth of damage. Your donation assisted us in purchasing a new flag pole which was destroyed during the storm and not covered by insurance. Because of you, the American Flag flys over our post once again. Please stop by and see us anytime.

PATRIOT RIDE FOR ERIC ANLIKER'S CHILDREN
Veteran Family Network, in conjunction with Folds of Honor and the VFN Foundation, sponsored a "Patriot Ride" that went through the streets of New Port Richey, FL. to support Eric Anliker, who gave more than 10 years of his life serving our country. Anliker died of a heart attack in April of 2009, after he returned home from deployment. Money raised from the event is going towards his children's education. "We believe together that we must never forget that sacrifice and so we provide scholarship for children, infancy to 18-years of age," said retired Army Major Ed Pulido, Foundation spokesman.
