Is the Veteran Family Network owned by Veterans?
Yes it is. Combat Veterans Gerald Buckles and Stephen Motsinger served together in Operation Desert Sheild and Operation Desert Storm during the First Gulf War 1990 to 1991. Not knowing each other before deployment, they immediately became friends. Today their friendship has grown to include their families and the desire they share to help Veterans.
Can anyone get the special discounts from Veteran Friendly Businesses?
The special discounts and services offered by VFN's Veteran Friendly Businesses are for VFN members only. The VFN spends time and resources searching for our Veteran Friendly Businesses discussing our philosophy of honoring Veterans and their family members. We then help our Veteran Friendly Businesses create a special benefit that is for VFN members only. Getting discounts for online purchases are easy by just clicking on the links or following the instructions provided for the specific Veteran Friendly Business. In some instances, a VFN member must present their membership card to some of our local or national Veteran Friendly Businesses to receive special discounts.
Who is eligible to become a Veteran Family Network member?
All those who have served, or are serving in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard, or Reserves are elgible to become VFN members. Since we know how important the support of family members is to a Veteran, the VFN wants to include family members in our membership. If you are the spouse, parent, sibling, or child of a living or deceased Veteran, you are eligible to become a Veteran Family Network member.
No problem. You can be an affiliate member and still recieve some of the same benefits that our Veterans and their families receive.
How do I become a Veteran Family Network member? How do I "Sign Up"?
Simple. As long as you are 18 or older, just CLICK HERE or go to the JOIN NOW hyperlinks on any page of our website. You will then pick a member type and pay the small annual fee of $25 for an Individual, $45 for a Family and $50 for an Affiliate member. After filling out basic info, you are then ready to receive savings at local Veteran Friendly Businesses in your area, on online travel, shopping, music etc. and begin finding and chatting with friends and family on your free social networking page.

Yes the Veteran Family Network gives 50% of its net profit to the VFN Foundation and other Veteran Charities. At the Veteran Family Network, we feel that one of the best ways to help Veterans and Active Duty Personnel is to give to charities and nonprofit organizations that support them. With every new Membership, Veteran Family Network makes a donation to the VFN Foundation and other Veteran Charities. In addition, the VFN will be donating half of the net revenues from advertising fees to facilitate VFN Foundation and other Veteran Charities.

No we are not. We are a company formed by Veterans to unite Veterans and their family members with businesses that will give them special discounts and services.

We do, however, strongly encourage you to use our social networking website. There, you will be able to set up a profile page about yourself, add pictures, find fellow veterans, family members of veterans, blog about your favorite topic, join a community forumn and instant message your online connections.
